“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ. If anyone thinks they are something when they are not, they deceive themselves. Each one should test their own actions. Then they can take pride in themselves alone, without comparing themselves to someone else, for each one should carry their own load. Nevertheless, the one who receives instructions in the world should share all good things with their instructor. Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. Galatians 6:2-7 Do not compromise your Christian faith. Your baptism, the Holy Spirit, and the Scriptures are under deliberate attack.”

Perseverance Church

About us
1. Jesus commanded His followers to go into all the world and baptize in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Some people, however, had only received John’s baptism; a baptism of repentance that prepared the way for Christ. Others continued baptizing solely in the name of Jesus for their own reasons. Because they did not follow the instruction Jesus gave regarding baptism, they had not yet received the Holy Spirit.”
2. Jesus said, "I will not leave you as orphans.’ He promised that the Helper would come, guide His followers to the very end, and reveal things beyond what He had already spoken. Because of this, the Helper; the Holy Spirit, later revealed further truth to the Apostle Paul, truth that others had not yet understood. He also gave revelation to John while he was in captivity on the Isle of Patmos. The Holy Spirit continues His work today, guiding committed Christians and strengthening them to overcome the challenges they face.”
Acts 8: 14-17
3. Keep this book of the law continually on your lips. Meditate on it day and night, so that you carefully follow everything written in it. When you do this, your path will be blessed, and you will prosper in what you undertake.”
Joshua 1:8

Walking in Truth and Faith

Our souls find their rest in the Father’s teachings, remaining faithful even as worldly influences try to dim into the light of the Spirit and the Scriptures. We walk a humble road, trading self-importance for the grace of serving one another and sharing the loads our brothers and sisters carry. Empowered by the Paraclete through the study of Truth, we align our works and our baptism with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. In choosing faith over compromise, we trust that our Father is true to His Word, gently guiding our feet toward His promised glory.

Our Core Objectives

Guided by the eternal light of the Trinity and anchored in the unchanging truth of Scripture, we submit our hearts to the divine mission of proclaiming the Gospel and fostering a sanctuary where the Holy Spirit transforms lives through faith, fellowship, and total surrender to God’s sovereign will.

Divinity

The Nature of God

We gather to affirm the truth that has shaped our faith, our worship, and our understanding of the world itself. We believe that there is one living and true God; eternal, sovereign, and unmatched in glory. Yet, within this divine unity, God exists in three distinct persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Trinity: Unity and Distinction

These three are not divided, nor are they lesser or greater than one another. Each person of the Trinity shares equally in every divine perfection. They are united in essence, equal in majesty, and harmonious in purpose.
And though they are one in being, they carry out distinct yet perfectly coordinated roles in the story of creation, providence, and redemption.

Distinct Roles Within the Trinity

  • The Father is the source of all life, who willed creation into existence and sustains it with unfailing care.
  • The Son, Jesus Christ, entered our world, taking on flesh to redeem humanity through His life, death, and resurrection.
  • The Holy Spirit moves with power and presence, guiding, comforting, and transforming hearts from within.

God With Us

Together, they reveal a God who is both infinitely beyond us and intimately with us. God’s unity teaches us harmony, His diversity teaches us relationship, and His love invites us into a story far greater than our own.
As we stand on this foundation, may our faith be strengthened, our worship deepened, and our lives shaped by the God who created us, sustains us, and redeems us: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, one God forever.

Salvation

Salvation: God’s Gift of Grace

Salvation is understood as a gracious gift from God, not something anyone can earn or achieve through personal effort. It is received through personal faith in Jesus Christ, who shed His blood for the forgiveness of sins. Through His sacrificial death and resurrection, the penalty of sin is paid and the way to restored relationship with God is opened.

Redemption: God’s Work, Not Ours

Redemption is entirely the work of God’s grace. Human effort, good deeds, or moral achievement cannot produce salvation. Instead, God freely offers forgiveness, new life, and eternal hope to all who trust in Jesus Christ. Salvation rests on Christ’s finished work, not on human merit, ensuring that all glory belongs to God alone.

Baptism

Standing Firm in Faith

Do not compromise your Christian faith. Your baptism, the Holy Spirit, and the Scriptures are under deliberate attack.
As believers, it is crucial to remain steadfast and unwavering in your commitment to Christ. The importance of baptism, the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life, and the truth found in Scripture are all being challenged. In these times, holding firm to your faith and refusing to compromise is essential to walking in the fullness of God’s purpose.

A Command from Jesus: a scripture reference Matthew 28:18-20

Jesus gave a clear directive to His disciples: they were to go into all the world, make disciples, and baptise them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This was not presented as an option, but as an essential command for every believer. Obeying this instruction is foundational for anyone who follows Christ.

Receiving the Fullness of the Holy Spirit

Because their baptism was not in accordance with Christ’s instruction, these believers had not yet received the fullness of the Holy Spirit. God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey the Gospel and enter the new life that is possible through Jesus. Matthew 28:19
The apostles lovingly led these believers into the complete experience of Christian baptism; baptising them in the name of Jesus and in the fullness of the Triune God; so that they, too, could receive the Holy Spirit, just as Jesus had promised.

Why Some Baptisms Were Incomplete: Acts 8:15-17

In the early church, there were believers who had only experienced John’s baptism. This was a baptism of repentance, sincerely preparing hearts for the coming of the Messiah. However, it was not intended to be the final stage of faith.
Although their faith was genuine, their baptism was incomplete because it did not align with the command Jesus gave after His resurrection.

A Call for Every Believer Today

The same invitation stands for us now. Jesus calls every believer to follow His command, receive true baptism, and walk in the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.

What About Those Baptised for the Dead? 1 Corinthians 15:28-29

Some in the early church wondered what it meant for people to be “baptised for the dead.” But Scripture makes it clear that God does not call His people into any practice connected to death, spirits of the dead, or the realm of darkness. Christ is the God of the living, not the dead. Those who belong to Him are raised to new life, not bound to death.

So why be baptised “for” someone who has already died?

The Gospel teaches that each person must respond to Christ for themselves, and baptism is a living confession of faith in the resurrected Jesus. God does not permit any fellowship with death or with spirits that do not come from Him. Isaiah 8: 19-22
True baptism is always about life, resurrection, and obedience to Jesus Christ, never about death or the spirits associated with it.
Baptism is a living believer’s response to Christ; a public declaration of faith in His resurrection. It is never a ritual performed on behalf of the dead.
The Gospel calls us into life, light, and resurrection power, not into practices tied to death Otherwise, what will those who are baptised for the dead? If the dead are not raised at all, why then are they baptised for them?
The Bible never teaches baptism on behalf of the dead.
God said:I will be your enemy if you go to someone who claims to speak with the dead, and I will destroy you from among my people.

Leviticus 20:6

Among you there shall not be found anyone who causes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, nor anyone who engages in divination,
In a world full of pressure, fear, and spiritual battles, God extends a simple but life‑changing invitation: humble yourself under His mighty hand. When we surrender to Him, He promises to lift us up at the right time. You don’t have to carry your burdens alone; Jesus cares for you, deeply and personally. Every anxiety, every fear, every hidden worry can be placed into His hands.
But Scripture also opens our eyes to a real spiritual enemy; the devil, who prowls like a roaring lion, looks for lives to destroy. This is why the gospel calls us to be awake, alert, and anchored in faith. We resist the enemy not by our strength, but by standing firm in the victory Jesus won at the cross.
And you are not alone. Believers all around the world face trials, temptations, and suffering. Yet God uses even these moments to shape us, strengthen us, and draw us closer to His heart.

Here is the good news:

The God of all grace has called you into His eternal glory in Christ.
Whatever you are facing today will not last forever. After you have suffered “a little while,” God Himself promises to:
  • Restore you
  • Confirm you
  • Strengthen you
  • Establish you
This is the hope of the gospel; Jesus meets us in our brokenness, carries us through our battles, and leads us into everlasting life. His grace is enough. His power is real. His love never fails.
If you are searching for peace, longing for purpose, or needing a fresh start, the invitation of Jesus is open to you today.

Growing in the Spirit

As you step forward into the life God has prepared, may you find strength in His Word and comfort in His presence. We invite you to join our pilgrimage of faith, where together, we fulfill the Law of Christ and witness the wonders of His grace. Come and let us surrender to His will and witness the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
